Tip Of The Week:Little Details A Bride Must Know

1. Insurance: it is lovely that you got engaged but now insure your ring (or simply add it to your home policy). You never know so just be careful xx

2. Register: if you don't want to risk the chance of receiving unwanted wedding gifts ensure that you register e.g. at Myer or David Jones. Provide a large selection for your guests and ensure you note where you are registered on your invitations (including pre wedding party, engagement party, bridal party etc.)

3. Must Serve Wedding Food: talk to your chef to figure out what are the most popular meals including cocktail food.

4. Directions: Before you print and mail your directions to the ceremony and reception venues, make sure you test drive them! Ensure that they are clear and correct.

5. Hair and Make Up: As you are getting ready on your big day remember to think about what you will be wearing while your hair and make up are being done. You don't want to wear a tight shirt that you won't be able to take off or that will smear your make up or mess up your hair. Think loose or something with buttons at the front!

6. Solemates: It is VERY important to check the soles of the brides and groom's shoes against the dance floor. You don't want to end up on your bum during your first dance! If it is slippery take it to a cobbler (shoe repair man) and get them to toughen them up for you. Alternatively take scissors or a sharp knife and carve several lines (horizontal and vertical) on the heel and soles of the shoes.

7. Accreditation:  Before you book any of your vendors ensure that they have some sort of accreditation and ask to see their certification. Ensure that they are licensed to operate!
