Bridal At David Jones

David Jones has launched the first bridal salon in an Australian department store, with the aim of increasing sales and offering a unique customer experience in the difficult economic climate.

Collette Dinnigan, Lanvin, Alex Perry, Christian Louboutin and Akira Isogawa are among the local and international designers whose bridal offerings will be stocked in Bridal on Seven in Sydney, which will feature oversize fitting rooms with a seamstress and champagne and refreshments on hand to help soothe nerves ahead of impending nuptials.
The level seven floor will also cater to other wedding needs including flowers, make-up, accessories, shoes, honeymoon wardrobes and outfits for bridesmaids and grooms, in partnership with the David Jones personal shopping service.

''We saw a gap in the Australian market that was not being catered to,'' said the David Jones chief executive, Paul Zahra. ''This is the first time that an Australian department store will have a dedicated bridal suite.''

For more information or to book an appointment (as this is a by appointment service) please contact David Jones consultants on 02 9266 5524 or email bridal@davidjones.com.au

Vera Wang Bridal Fall 2012

Vera Wang, the unofficial queen of wedding gowns, has come out with her Bridal Fall 2012 collection which has surprised the wedding crowd. There wasn't a white wedding gown in sight! Instead Wang opted for deconstructed chiffon & silk in nude and black. (PS. On a personal note I did find this amazing because I adore black but at the same time my mothers voice is screaming in my head of 'black is for funerals not weddings'). Check out some of the images of the untraditional gowns below and let us know - would you wear black on your wedding day? xxx

Once again Karl Lagerfeld does not disappoint! The PFW Chanel show involved a mammoth set which included gigantic sea horses, coral and shells, were part of the underwater theme devised by Mr.Lagerfeld himself, staged at the Grand Palais in Paris.

P.S. In case you missed it, check out some of his previous fashion show extravaganzas here.

Fashion File: Atelier Azza

I am really loving Azeeza Desai Khan's gorgeous new Monarch collection, under her fashion label, Atelier AZZA which debuted at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Drawing inspiration from her Indian heritage and travels abroad, her collection offers glamorous clothing blending everyday style with a high-fashion twist—think beautifully embellished, classic silhouettes.

Azeeza Desai Khan has even been featured in NY Times for her amazing everyday fashion sense :) Loving her style xx
