Trash The Dress
I am not quite sure where I sit on this one! I need YOUR help to decide. "Trash The Dress" (also known as fearless bride or rock the frock) is a style of wedding photography where the dress is deconstructed in the name of art. Now I know (as you will see below) the images are amazing & can be framed for life however I am a serious hoarder! I would imagine passing the dress to my (unborn) daughters (ps. no I am not pregnant with that statement) so I feel really torn! I know that they might not wear it but the idea of owning your mother's wedding gown is just so special. In fact I even own my grandmothers outfit! On the other hand again I love art and artistic expression and I could so see how this would be liberating and at the same time so beautiful. So here is my dilemma....What you think?

Olivia Palermo for Boutiques.com
So clever little Google has an amazing e-commerce fashion venture, Boutiques.com , which is really online stores curated by celebrities and tastemakers. I have professed my style love for Olivia Palermo several times now and I am super happy to say that Miss P herself has a boutique (which is the second most followed!!). When asked about her involvement with the site Olivia simply stated “the process was a ton of fun, but I actually spent hours playing with it. It’s quite addictive!”. “Whether it’s a Marchesa gown straight off the runway or a basic Topshop piece, everything is at your fingertips,” she says. Amazing! Browsing is inexpensive but the shopping not so much! xx

Tip Of The Week: Eco Friendly Weddings
If you are on board with diminishing your eco-footprints then your wedding day should be no different. There are so many options out there to help you choose the right suppliers & ensure that your wedding helps save the environment! Here are a couple of things to consider & a few great suppliers to help create your best eco friendly wedding;
1. The Engagement Ring: Yes, there are eco friendly jewellers! Some of the best ones we discovered were Ethical Jewellery Australia an online engagement and wedding boutique; Zoe Pook, they offer hand made designs for you & Utopian Creations, Australia's oldest eco friendly ethical jewellers.
2. Invitations and Stationery: Check out Earth Greetings as their invitations are printed carbon neutral in Australia, using vegetable based ink on 100% post-consumer recycled paper. Our fave has to be A Little Birdie Design Studio, as they supply unique wedding invitations & stationery, DIY supplies, plantable seeded paper, recycled paper envelopes and so much more!
5. Dresses: Worn Only Once is a place where savvy brides can buy & sell preloved bridal wear. Buying preloved attire can save you money and more importantly it helps the environment by reducing excess wastage.
Hope all that helps! If you are confused or looking for further advice on eco friendly weddings (or weddings in general) email us and we will be happy to help you out! xxx
PS. Thank you all for your wonderful comments and emails over the last few months! The blog is doing great and we are loving all the viewers from around the globe :) xxx

3. Gifts & Favours : Eco Celebrations make gifts and favours that are friendly for the environment and use local Aussie suppliers (gotta share the love :). If you want to purchase a unique gift for the bride and groom, then check out GreenUrLife. They offer a selection of natural, high quality, practical, eco-friendly kitchenware products that are BPA free and made from either recyclable or biodegradable materials such as stainless steel, recycled timber, glass and cotton.
4. Reception Venues: I have to start with my personal fave, Brampton Island!! ( I love, love, love this place and must recommend it if you want a simple relaxing holiday/wedding!). The only issue there is that currently the resort is under a much required redevelopment and the opening date has not yet been released. The redevelopment started in January this year so I'm hoping for a reopening in the summer! Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa is another wonderful place. For a full list of amazing eco friendly reception venues check out this page.

Ricky Gervais Made A Promo For Life Is Too Short
Ricky Gervais Made A Promo For Life Is Too Short
Ricky Gervais did Warwick Davis wearing a frog suit for this. If I had something funny that I could add to this, I would be the one to do this face after checking my account balance. Even if Megan Fox is no longer allowed on the Transformers set, is Sacha Baron Cohen is still cool with her and pulled her in as a late addition to the cast of the dictator. Looks like she will be spelling of her inevitable fate as the Scary Movie series cameo for just a little longer.
With Jennifer Lopez's stint on American Idol kind of reminds us we still have a Jennifer Lopez in this world, is the former FlyGirl now in negotiations in two parts, the female lead opposite Jason Statham in Parker and a supportive role to Cameron Diaz in what you can expect when you expect. Because it's not like there is a more recent critical and financial precedent for never again make a movie about Jennifer Lopez and pregnancy.
Saw and insidious director James Wan is in negotiations to direct the magic of New Line. Is The imagines a "true story" of some unforgettable that never happened, but can be shot at a million or thereabouts.

Scantily Clad Rihanna Heats Up Parade in Barbados

Scantily Clad Rihanna Heats Up Parade in Barbados
Rihanna gets provocative as Rihanna embraces the festive air in her hometown of Barbados. On Monday, August 1, the "Only Girl (In the World)" hitmaker took part in the annual Kadooment Day parade, and hit the streets in a barely there, sequined bikini and fishnet stockings. Rihanna also wore bright red feathered headdress to compete her attire.
During the parade, the 23-year-old singer rode on a float and blew kisses to the crowd. At one point Rihanna was seen bending over and dancing with a fan who came up behind her. Seemingly having fun Rihanna didn't appear to be bothered when the rain started to fall. In fact Rihanna was spotted running in the street and giggling with her friends.
Riri arrived back in Barbados over the weekend. Rihanna recently wrapped up the North American leg of her Loud tour. Soon after Rihanna arrived Rihanna took to Twitter and wrote, "My home, my country, my people....BARBADOS!!! #1LOVE #SWEETfahDAYS NOTHIN' BETTER! #RihannaNavy Miss u guys tho."
Kadooment Day is the official final celebration of the Crop Over Festival season. It is explained in Barbados.org that its origins "can be traced back to the 1780's, a time when Barbados was the world's largest producer of sugar. At the end of the sugar season, there was always a huge celebration to mark the culmination of another successful sugar cane harvest.
