Sometimes it is as simple as 'do this and avoid that' but life is not so black and white (rather gray - or ombre :) therefore this week I wish to offer this amazing article I read in New York Times about relationships, 'When The Words Don't Fit'. It sort of reminded me of the scene in Sex And The City movie when Carrie tells Rose (I think that's her name - Charlotte's daughter);
"Cinderella and her prince lived happily ever after. You know, things don't always work out that way in real life. I think that you should know that now."
The part that touched me the most when reading the story was her parents marriage.
"My parents have now been married for almost 50 years. They have five children, eight grandchildren. They have hurt each other and tried to. They have saved each other’s lives. There have been loud, harrowing fights. There have been slammed doors and threats of leaving...You have to believe that the Lord put you together in the first place.”
Amazing story and some great advice. Happy reading and let me know your thoughts :) xxx
