Bridal Guide Magazine noted that more than 80 percent of husbands-to-be are planning their full wedding day. So let me introduce you to a new term on the wedding scene:
Groomzilla: The male equivalent to a bridezilla. A heterosexual man planning a wedding who becomes over-involved, demanding and outrageously hostile about small irrelevent details involved with the planning of the ceremony and/or reception. A Groomzilla is also known to insist on a wedding band for himself that is more elaborate and costly than his bride's ring. This type of Groom will insist that all details and choices must be decided by him, leaving the bride to parade countless options before him and watch "her day" become "his".
Please know that no one is safe, not even celebrities. Prior to their wed ding day, Katy Perry revealed that her husband - to - be (at the time) Russel Brand, turned into a demanding diva;
"He's a total bridezilla. He's like a freak," the pop star says. "He's always buying bride magazines. Every time we go out for breakfast, he's like, 'Can we just stop and get a bride magazine?' "
One very clever groomzilla learnt from his experience and created The Groom's List, a website for men that will take them from the 'Gut Check' and 'Commitment Quiz' to the actual marriage. The Groom's List explains ;
More and more men are getting involved in the wedding process these days. And even though this more mature male understand the type of emotional commitment marriage requires, he's still a guy. What I mean is...guys want the facts. That's why we created this comprehensive "to the point" resource to help grooms:
Choose their future wife
Plan their proposal
Participate in the wedding process
Build a healthy marriage
I love their video which explains the whole website and what men need to know about proposals, weddings and the honeymoon.
What do you think? Would your partner be able to plan a wedding?
